AmericanMerchantMarineVeterans

The New Richmond Cardboard Boat Regatta is proud to have 2 boat entries each year by the American Merchant Marine Veterans, Ohio Valley Chapter. We are looking forward to  competition by the 2 boats with The Channel 12 News Crew and other "speed" challengers each year.

The Cardboard Boat Museum has  completed a replica  WW II Liberty Ship which was christened prior to the  2016  race and has become a racing tradition in New Richmond.  The fans will have the opportunity of having their photo taken with the ship and its Captain Zach Fuller before and after the race.

Along with participating in the annual  event, the Chapter will man  the AMMV festival booth to acquaint the public with the role of the American Merchant Mariner during WW II.
The Chapter will also have contact information for Honor Flight Tri-State,  Library of Congress Veterans History Project, and Maritime educational opportunities.

Respectfully,
W.F. "Speed" Hinds, Chairman, Ohio Valley Chapter AMMV
